Orange Shirt Day

Every Child Matters

Orange Shirt Day is a national movement in Canada. In this annual event, Indigenous and non-Indigenous people come together in the spirit of hope and reconciliation to honour former residential school students, their families and communities. Orange Shirt Day is a day when we recognize the Indigenous children who were sent away to residential schools in Canada and learn more about the history of those schools by wearing an orange shirt, showing our belief that every child matters.  Across Canada and in our school district, Orange Shirt Day will be acknowledged on September 30, 2020.

Please join our St. Patrick’s School community in showing our belief that every child matters.  Wear your orange shirt on Wednesday September 30, 2020.
