Welcome to the 12 Days of Christmas.....

On behalf of the St. Patrick’s School Grade 8 Leadership team we would like to tell you about the wonderful lead up to our Christmas vacation we have planned. As a group, we kept in mind both the liturgical and secular significance of the season and the idea of giving back to our community during our planning. We are happy to announce the first ’12 Days of Christmas’ celebration at St. Patrick’s School. Each day, for 12 school days leading up to Christmas vacation, our community will take part in some type of festive event or activity that will bring us together as a community while embracing this most wonderful time of year. We can’t wait to hear and see the joy of the season in our halls and classrooms.

December 5
• Tree of Warmth Begins- bring in hats/mitts/scarfs to decorate our tree for those in need (collection will continue until December 18)
December 6
• Christmas Spirit Wear Day- dress festive (red, green, Christmas sweaters etc.)
December 9
• Classes can sing along to Christmas carols played throughout the school during the last 50 minutes of the day
• Classes to 9 a.m. mass for week 2 of Advent
December 10
• Classes will be making Christmas Cards to send to the Retirement Home
December 11
• Snow Building Challenge (we are crossing our fingers for snow) or Staff vs. Students Basketball at lunch
December 12
• Christmas School Mass- 11:15 a.m.- All are welcome to join us!
December 13
• Christmas P.J. & Movie Day- wear your festive p.j.’s and bring in an item for the food bank as your ‘admission’ to the movie
December 16
• Door Decorating Contest- individual classes will participate
• Classes to 9 a.m. mass for week 3 of Advent
• Candy Cane Wishes Sales begin (3 days only!)- for $0.25 you can send your friend a special wish on a candy cane
December 17
• Candy Cane Wishes Sales continue
• Save the Date- Families are invited to our Christmas Social Evening- 6- 7:30 p.m.- more information to come!
December 18
• Christmas Character Day (wear a Santa Hat, Elf Hat or Reindeer Antlers)
• Last day for Candy Cane Wishes sales
December 19
• School wide Christmas Bingo game
December 20
• Candy Cane Wishes Delivery Day
• Last day of school before the holidays
